The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) honored BCTA with a national marketing award for its 2023 Summer Youth Pass Campaign.

BCTA offered children, teenagers, college students and parents with children between the ages 6 to 21 with unlimited free transportation services from June 1 to August 31, 2023.

The program increased awareness of BCTA’s public transportation services and offered transportation disadvantaged children and teens an opportunity to increase their mobility over the summer months and ride to any number of destinations in Beaver and Allegheny Counties.

The campaign platforms consisted of a video, social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as print media, radio advertising and news releases.  Schools, colleges, libraries and the YMCA were all targeted with colorful demographic based flyers.

BCTA reported over 4,000 trips over the 3-month program. 

The BCTA Fast Forward Summer Pass will return in 2024, with applications opening on May 1. Applications can be completed online at www.bcta.com or in person at the Rochester Transportation Center. The pass will be active for unlimited rides from June 1 – August 31, 2024.
