EDUCATIONAL DESTINATIONS

BCTA is proud to provide in-county Connect service to education destinations. The following schools are eligible:

IN-COUNTY FIXED-ROUTE TRANSFERS

BCTA Connect riders can connect to the Fixed-Route service with transfer points at the Rochester Transportation Center, Ambridge Regional Park & Ride, and RJO Expressway Travel Center.

fares

All fares will be paid when booking in the BCTA Connect app. No cash fares will be accepted on the vehicle. Fares will be dependent on the length of each trip. The following limits will be used to calculate fares:

0-5 miles: $4
5-10 miles: $5
10-15 miles $6
15+ miles: $7

For example, a rider travelling 9 miles each way will pay a total of $10.00 for a round trip.

Fares are non-refundable if trips are cancelled less than two hours before the scheduled pickup time.

Please note that trip distance is calculated as the crow flies, not actual driving distance.

FARE DISCOUNTS

Senior, Reduced Fare, and Student Discounts do not apply to this service.
Children will pay half of the regular fare when traveling with a fare-paying rider.

Each vehicle is equipped with a wheelchair lift and high roof to improve the accessibility of the BCTA Connect service. All drivers are trained to ADA standards for mobility device securement.

Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

no-shows & cancellations

Due to high scheduling demand, our drivers are only able to wait at your pickup location for two minutes. If you are not present to board the vehicle in this timeframe, your trip will be marked as a No-Show
Riders who are given a No-Show will be charged a fee equivalent to the cost of the planned trip.
Riders who habitually violate the No-Show policy are subject to suspension of service.
We recommend being outside of the pickup location a few minutes early to guarantee you can board the vehicle within the given time.

service availability

BCTA Connect operates as a first-come, first-serve service. Riders can schedule two days in advance for any trip. We recommend scheduling as early as possible to guarantee there is vehicle availability for your requested time.
The trips offered to you in the app reflect vehicle availability and current open trips. We cannot deviate from the scheduled time as the timing influences other riders' trips.

While we can do our best to accommodate specific trip needs, riders are responsible for all scheduling processes. Please be sure to double check your pickup times, drop off times, and locations to guarantee everything is correct before booking.
