BCTA Bus Wrap Project Solicitation

Issue Date:  July 16, 2021

The Beaver County Transit Authority (BCTA) is interested in receiving proposals for a full bus wrap installation on one (1) of the transit buses that travel through several Beaver County communities (BCTA’s local Route 2 service described on the BCTA website).

Photos of the bus are included in Attachment #1.  It is a low-floor 35-foot transit bus manufactured by Gillig, Inc.  The dimensions of the bus are included in Attachments #2 and #3.

Attachment 4 depicts the graphics to be installed on two sides and the back of the bus.   The graphic artist is Bernie Wilke of Pittsburgh.  If needed, he can be contacted by the vendor at (412) 737-9780 prior to submitting a quote.  In addition, vendors may contact Steve Vardzel, BCTA Maintenance Manager at stevev@bcta.com to schedule an inspection of the bus to be wrapped (Bus #506).

The vendor will be responsible for selecting the material used for the BCTA bus wrap.  The vendor must identify the material in their proposal submission.  The color scheme must closely match the artist’s drawing.

The proposal provided by the installer must include the cost of both materials and labor and include a 1-year guarantee on the integrity of the color and material.  The proposal should also include the cost of removing the wrap one year after completion of the installation.

The proposal must also describe the process to wrap the bus, the timeline for installation, the qualifications of the person(s) assigned to this project (i.e. person’s performing the install).  These factors, in addition to cost, will determine the vendor selected for the bus wrap.

The bus can be made available to wrap at the vendor’s convenience. Our facility is open from 3:45 am to 11:30 pm on weekdays and 5:15 am to 8:30 pm Saturdays.

Two (2) copies of the vendor’s proposal is due no later than 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.  The proposal copies can be emailed to the attention of Chari Rae:   charir@bcta.com.
