Notice of Public Hearing

Beaver County Transit Authority

 

Due to public feedback, in addition to the public hearing scheduled at 5pm on Monday, February 4, 2019, The Beaver County Transit Authority will hold a second public hearing on the same day at 7:00 pm.  Please note, both meetings will take place at the BCTA Transportation Center, 200 West Washington St., Rochester, PA 15074. 

 

The Beaver County Transit Authority will hold a public hearing at 5:00pm on Monday, February 4, 2019 to receive public comments regarding proposed service changes to the Fixed Route service.  Service changes which if approved would take place on April 1, 2019.  The hearing will be held in the Board Room of the BCTA Transportation Center, located at 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074.  Written comments regarding the proposed changes will be accepted until 3pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.  All written comments should be mailed or delivered in person to BCTA, 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074.  Persons not able to attend the meeting may review the proposed modifications by contacting Terri Riley, Technology & Data Specialist at 724-728-4255 to schedule an appointment prior to the date of the public hearing.  All comments received in person or in writing will be reviewed by BCTA’s Board of Directors and taken into consideration when making any final decisions regarding the proposed changes to the service.

UPDATED DESCRIPTION AND CLARIFICATION of Proposed Service Changes:

There is no elimination of early weekday Route 1 or Route 11 service being proposed.

The last weekday Route 11 bus will depart the Rochester Transportation Center at 5:30 pm.

The Route 11 bus is extended to the Beaver Valley Mall.

The last weekday departure from Pittsburgh on Route 1 will be at 7 pm.

Route 1 service weekday service to Pittsburgh is eliminated between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm.  Passengers can connect to the Port Authority service at the Ambridge Regional Park and Ride.

The first arrival at CCBC on weekdays will be at 6:50 am and the last departure from CCBC will be at 5:47 pm.

There is no service planned for CCBC on Saturdays.

There is no stop planned at Drug and Alcohol in Vanport.

Two Express 3 buses will be combined with a 6:30 am departure time from the Rochester Transportation Center.
