  • Ambridge/Aliquippa Bridge Closure

    Updated: Effective Monday, November 8, 2021, until Friday, December 3, 2021, the Ambridge/Aliquippa bridge will be closed due to repairs. BCTA Last stop heading Southbound will be on Franklin Ave across from the Aliquippa Police Station. Due to the length of the closure, BCTA will not be operating any Bridge Shuttle.

STEP  BY STEP DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE BCTA TICKET MACHINE

Thank you for using BCTA’s Ticket Machine.  Below are Step-By-Step Directions for using this machine.  We hope you find our ticket machine to be user-friendly, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask one of the customer service representatives and they will be happy to assist you.

On the Main Screen of the ticket machine, please select the ticket you want to purchase.  You can choose from:

  • In-County All Day Pass – $4.25 (Press the “2” Button)
  • 7-Day Pass (Press the “3” Button)
  • 31-Day Pass (Press the “4” Button)
  • Single Ride and Reduced Tickets (Press the “7” Button)
  • 10+1 Trip Tickets (Press the “8” Button)

Please keep in mind that multiple tickets may be purchased on these machines.


 7-Day Pass  (Press the “3” Button)

Then you can select a:

  • 7-Day In-County Pass – $20.00
  • 7-Day Out-of-County Pass – $30.00
  • 7-Day Express Pass – $37.50

31-Day Pass (Press the “4” Button) 

Then you can select a:

  • 31-Day In-County Pass – $82.00
  • 31-Day Out-of-County Pass – $125.00
  • 31 Day Express Pass – $150.00

Single Ride and Reduced Tickets (Press the “7” Button)  

Then, you can select an:

  • In-County Full Fare Pass – $2.50                     
  • Out-of-County Full Fare Pass – $3.25             
  • Express Zone Full Fare – $4.00                          
  • In-County Reduced Fare Pass – $1.25
  • Out-of-County Reduced Fare Pass – $1.60
  • Express Zone Reduced Fare Pass – $2.00

10+1 Trip (Press the “8” Button)

            Then you can select a:

  • 10+1 In-County Pass – $25.00
  • 10+1 Out-of-County Pass – $32.50
  • 10+1 Express Pass – $40.00

Once you have made your selection of tickets, you will see a prompt on the screen requesting payment for your ticket purchase.

  • You may pay for your ticket purchase using coins, bills, or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, or Discover).  The maximum amount of ticket purchase is $250.
  • If paying by cash or coin, the maximum change you can receive back from your purchase is $20.00.
  • If you are paying for your ticket purchase with a credit card, you will need to slide your card as shown below, with the magnetic strip facing to the left.
  • You will see this notification after you slide your credit card through the machine: 
  • “BCTA Processing Transaction.”

Once your credit card or cash transaction has been completed, your ticket will appear in the Ticket/Pass & Change Dispenser. Please remember to take your ticket.

You will then be asked if you want a receipt.  If you would like a receipt, please press “Yes” (#3) quickly; this prompt remains on the screen for only a short period of time.

If you choose to receive a receipt, it will appear in the Ticket/Pass & Change Dispenser. Please remember to take your receipt for your records.

Your BCTA Ticket Machine Transaction is complete!
