BCTA FIXED ROUTE AND DART RIDERS
FACE MASKS REQUIRED
Effective Sunday, April 19, 2020
The Pennsylvania Secretary of Health signed an Order, effective Sunday April 19, 2020, requiring all bus riders to wear a face mask to protect against the Coronavirus. Face masks include the following: an off the shelf mask or another face covering including a bandana, scarf, face shield, or other homemade mask.
BCTA is expected to deny service to anyone who refuses to wear a mask while riding a BCTA bus.
The same Order also requires all bus drivers to wear a mask.
Please adhere to this State requirement to ensure your safety, the safety of other passengers, and our bus drivers.
Note: This Order does not apply to children under two years of age or a rider with a medical excuse.
BCTA BUS SERVICE IS LIMITED TO “ESSENTIAL SERVICES”!
BCTA fixed route and DART services are limited to “essential services”. The government defines “essential services” to include medical, work and grocery shopping. No other trips are permitted on any BCTA bus.
BCTA will deny any person continued public transportation service who is known to violate this State mandate.
BCTA CONTINUES TO RECOMMEND THAT ALL BUS PATRONS FOLLOW THE IDENTITY AND PREVENTION GUIDELINES POSTED ON ALL BCTA BUSES TO ENSURE THEIR OWN SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS
