BCTA Summer Youth Pass 2021

GUILDELINES FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS

  • The pass is valid from June 1, 2021 thru August 31, 2021.
  • The pass is only good if used on a Fixed Route BCTA bus. The pass is not valid for the DART bus.
  • The pass is not able to be re-issued.  Lost passes will not be replaced.
  • Children ages 6 to 17 years old are able to sign up for the pass.
  • Children under 6 years of age always ride free when accompanying a fare-paying adult.  (Limit 2 children per fare-paying adult)
  • Since it is impossible for our drivers to determine the exact age of an older child or adolescent, BCTA assumes that the parent or guardian is making a responsible choice as to whether their child is mature enough to ride the buses unattended.
  • Applications will begin to be accepted on Friday, May 28th. The parent or guardian will have to accompany the child when they sign up for the Summer Youth Pass at the Rochester Transportation Center (200 W. Washington St, Rochester). Proof of age, such as a birth certificate, will be required.
  • At the time of registration, the parent or guardian will be made fully aware of the traveling freedoms that the child will have with the pass, such as being able to travel to Pittsburgh.
  • For riders aged 14-17 years old that are authorized to travel alone: Both the child and the parent or guardian will be required to sign off on a release that permits the child to use the pass and that they both know and understand the capabilities that the child will have when using the pass.
