The Beaver County Transit Authority (BCTA) will launch a new “Connect” service on Monday February 2, 2026. The “Connect” service is BCTA’s same day on demand public transportation service where riders download and use a mobile app (App store or Google Play) to schedule and pay for their trip.
BCTA’s General Manager indicated that the Authority has been planning the service for over a year. She stated: “The Authority studied various trip patterns from Beaver County to out of county destinations in Butler and Allegheny counties to determine where there was a need or service gap”.
The service will operate county-wide in both urban and rural areas to 3 distinct zones. The first zone includes portions of Cranberry, Warrendale and Wexford. Common destinations include Passavant Memorial Hospital, Allegheny Health Network (AHN), UPMC Passavant-Cranberry, Thorn Hill Industrial Park – RIDC and UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
The second zone includes Leetsdale and Sewickley. Common destinations include the Leetsdale Industrial Park, Heritage Valley-Sewickley and the Critmore Building.
The third zone includes the Airport area and Moon Township. Common destinations include the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport (GPIA), Amazon and Warehouse Distribution Centers, Fed Ex Terminal, Cherrington Area, and Robert Morris University.
BCTA’s app and BCTA’s website will allow riders to view each service zone in detail and focus on a particular stop or destination. BCTA noted that there are a multitude of destinations in each zone including medical facilities, office parks, industrial areas, retail and other points of interest. BCTA anticipates frequent requests for appointments to medical facilities and specialists in these three zones.
All vehicles for this service are 7 passenger blue mini-vans and each will be accessible with a wheelchair lift and a high roof.
